Urethane Casting

Short Run, Production Quality Parts

The urethane casting process requires a master pattern (commonly a SLA master) to create a silicone mold (or tool).  This mold contains an empty cavity in the shape of the desired part which is filled with a liquid urethane.  After the urethane has cured,  the mold is opened and the finished part is removed. This process is repeated until the required amount of parts is created.

Textures can be applied directly to the master to match injection molding finishes, producing perfect copies of the pattern. Most urethane parts can also be painted, plated, pad printed and hot stamped to add finishing cosmetic touches.
